My Four Greens

Funded through Developing Your Creative Practice (Arts Council of England), My Four Greens was an arts and research led project exploring how you cultivate more care and curiosity in green spaces, as well as celebrating them for the assets they are.

Outputs included a series of interventions and performances in local green spaces such as repairing play equipment and guerilla gardening; establishing a women's football group on an underutilised recreation ground; undergoing a self-made residency at my local park; hosting talks on history of green spaces for local residents to spaces and designing a playful squirrel photo competition with winners exhibited on park's notice boards.

The project was situated in the context of national research into the sustainability of parks, through my participation in Nesta's Re-thinking Parks research programme as a researcher and resident.

To capture and celebrate, a zine was produced and distributed along with accompanying prompts to explore spaces contained within.
