Bretton Greens

Bretton Greens was arts programme designed to support people connect in new ways to their local green spaces.

The programme commenced with a series of artist-led re-discovery walks that focused on smell, memory and poetry, combined with a community sports day.

Next, working with groups including residents of sheltered housing, schools, youth groups and more, we worked to design and implement interventions that would enhance and celebrate green spaces.

Working with artists, architects and horticulturalists we installed new community gardens, bird boxes and a huge floor mural - as designed and delivered by local people.

To conclude the project a map was produced marking on it all that was collectively discovered and produced within the project and to seek to support more action.
